1.0 : Introduction

Potato Cactus is an outstanding way to make high amounts of gold in Runescape. These well known Herblore ingredients are used to make Magic Potions. These Potatoes aren't your ordinary farmed ones either. They have spikes on them like a cactus and can only be gotten by picking them up in the Kalphite Layer. These sweet veggies sell for about 80k per inventory!
The reason these babies are so expensive is because there are only 3 spawns in THE WHOLE GAME! You will also have to go through some tough conditions to get them, one of these conditions is your worst enemy, the Kalphite Solider. They make it a tough fight to get those potatoes and may KILL you if you don't come prepared.
Do not get your hopes up yet! There is a safe-spot where you can safely wait for these potatoes to respawn. In this picture you can see a character in that safe spot and on the other side a map is shown.

2.0 : Broom Method

This method is the fastest known way to collect potato cactus! But there is a catch, you must have completed a ridiculously easy quest Swept Away. Not including the armor, these are the items you will need to use this method.

Super Antipoison	Grand Exchange	Do not drink a dose every time you get hit by the creature! This potion gives you protection from poison for some time (about 10 minutes)	Protection from poison.

To get the broom working, you have to get it enchanted by a Apprentice, in this case, the one in Al Kharid.
Once enchanted, you can start off your journey. Start from Shantay Pass with the items from the table in your inventory. Go through the pass, when you've done that, run west until you find a hole in the ground. Use your rope on it and climb down. Run through the labyrinth until you get to the room. Now collect the potatoes until you have a full inventory. Once done, use your broom, restock on the rope, Shantay Pass and if your potion ran out, anti poison potion and repeat the process.
